Kontora Cooka "Renovation" | A classic album of a post-rock group from Samara, which has a rich twenty-year history. All is unusual here: sound, vocal, arrangements, design. What is more, there are no deliberate extravagances, there's just aligned and organic result of the unique look of the group members at the absurd world around. The "Stereo&Video" magazine called this work a "puppet rock-opera".CD

The creation history of "Renovation"... - In fact, there's no history. We just brought all we needed in a home studio and started the recording. - What is necessary for a good album? - Never take an examination. 99 per sent of groups take examinations, and that's because their albums are bad. Even those who pass the exam have bad albums. It only seems that their albums are good. - But are there still any general requirements for the quality, sound... for the recording technology? - No. No general requirements at all. Anyone can record a good album without leaving home. - Is your music designed for the wide audience? - Yes. That's the music it is waiting for - subconsciously. The creation history of "Renovation"...
Annotation from the author. Rock is dying but it will never die. We are parasitizing on it's endless agony. Evil creaker. We love him. We are still the captives of it's former charm. But our love is cold. It's time to end it. Renovation, a process of replacing the basic production funds, which drop out in consequence of the moral and physical wear, by the new funds, is a necessary condition for the simple reproduction.
