Leonid Fedorov
"Lilac Day"

The first and the favorite release of  the "Geometry" label. This disk is known as "the easiest-to-understand album of Leonid Fedorov" but includes songs that are almost never performed by Auktyon on the concerts. The disk is recorded on an unusual principal: there are fragments of records of Yma Sumac, Eminem, Don Cherry, Schnittke, Rachmaninoff, Vivaldi, Djivan Gasparyan etc. used as the background music, and only in two places the bassist of Auktyon Viktor Bondarik plays along with Leonid Fedorov. As the recording is home-made, it includes somewhere the knocking of neighbours displeased with the noise, and even the sounds of the axe. An authentic Australian aborigine, which was photographed by the head of the label in a 100 kilometeres from Sydney specially for the album design, is depicted on the cover.
